Autajon Packaging – Case History
Autajon Packaging is a French company founded in 1964. A European leader in the production of cartons, slipcases, labels and point-of-sale materials. Today, the Autajon Group, represented by 36 subsidiaries present in 11 countries in Europe including Italy.
At its Milan plant, the company is involved in the production of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and perfumery paper products thanks in part to the Intellipress PRO system with InelliTrax.
The company, at its Milan site, has two Heidelberg XL presses that have been equipped with of press center control tables and IntelliTrax, the highest-performance measuring instrument we find on the market. Particularly in the world of packaging, a world in which Autajon operates, there is a need to use smaller and smaller control scales that minimize paper waste and allow these control bars to be mounted without significantly modifying equipment and dies.
Denny Finazzi, a press operator at Autajon Packaging Milano, says that, “The mindset of the operators has changed, and they are more confident in the execution of jobs because they have a tool that helps them manage all the issues of the machine. In addition, the Rutherford system is easy to use, and thanks to a few hours of training, all the functions can be learned.”
The installations that are done with this system are very simple. The system also has a self-learning function that allows the software to be efficient allowing for faster start-up times, less waste, and attractive performance.
